We believe that all entities affected by our operations are entitled to a safe and sustainable environment. At Degner Construction Incorporated we are committed to conducting all our activities in a manner that protects the health and safety of our employees, suppliers, customers, community and the environment. We recognize that our ability to achieve and maintain the highest possible standards in health and safety and adherence to Occupational Health and Safety guidelines can only be achieved through active participation and conscious effort by everyone, everyday and in every task performed.

Our Health and Safety programs’ emphasis is on continually improving our process and advancing our standards by implementing a rigorous training program customized to specific tasks across our organization. We routinely review our safety procedures as settings change, challenging norms and conventions all with the intention of improving our environment.

Our mandate is to promote and sustain a safe work environment for everyone and continually improve our process.
Our people are some of the best trained in the industry, as such, we are routinely asked to participate in external committees whose mandate is to address industry specific issues relating to improving the safety of the workplace and the environment in which we operate. We are members in good standing with the Workers Compensation Board and the Alberta Construction Safety Association. We are an active member in the “Regional Safety Committee Member” as well as various sub committees of RSCM including a Video Committee and the Poster Committee to promote Health and Safety in our region. We have also participated in Canadian Society of Safety Engineering Conference and Trade Show and lent our resources to Skills Canada to encourage High School students to enter trades and careers in the construction industry.
